March Recipe: Shea Butter Scalp Treatment
Dry skin and scalp are very common during the cold months. This recipe is aimed to help soothe your dry, flaky scalp and skin. Shea butter deeply moisturizes, without clogging your pores. Tea tree oil is an antiseptic that targets dandruff and cleanses your scalp. Lavender is calming and will give your mixture a nice scent. You can easily replace it with any essential oil of your choice.
Ingredients:
¼ cup shea butter
½ teaspoon tea tree oil
½ teaspoon lavender oil
1 dropper bottle or air-tight container
Instructions:
Either liquid or solid shea butter can be used. If using liquid, you can drop all ingredients into your container and shake. If using solid shea, you can drop the tea tree oil and lavender into the shea and whip them in. Apply a generous amount to problem area at night and rinse in the morning.
