Matcha Latte


For those of us who want a pick me up but are not fond of coffee, have a great advantage to the growing popularity and accessibility of matcha green tea. It is loaded with antioxidants, may be good for your skin, oral hygiene friendly and seems to leave an energizing effect without the crash that coffee gives me. This recipe is delicious and simple made with just a few ingredients. Feel like you're in a cosy cafe from the comfort of your home! This matcha latte recipe is rich and creamy making it a tasty alternative to coffee. Adding ghee to the nut milk really enriches the flavor and aroma while also boosting a healthful of vitamins and nutrient rich properties!

Matcha Latte

1 Tbsp hot water

1 cup nut milk or milk of your choice

2 tsp matcha powder

3 tsp Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener

1/2 tsp ghee

In a small bowl add the hot water to matcha powder and vigorously whisk with a matcha brush or spoon. Set aside. Heat your milk either over stove or in microwave, add the ghee to milk while its warming. Do not let milk boil, if using stove top.

In a heat safe blender, pour in your milk, sweetener and matcha mixture. Blend until frothy.
